Poster Information:

Save the Embassy
90's Night,18th June.

Poster Critique
For homework, we created some posters of our concepts. We have decided to use a 90s themed night to attract locals to the Embassy theatre. This is to increase involvement with the theatre and raise awareness of the shrinking audience. From the feedback we received, we need to specify why they should come to the event and why it is happening. We should also say what the next step is like visiting the website.

In class, we started to write down a list of things related to the saving our arts venue topic. We were then asked to choose one thing from each topic and combine them into some thumbnail sketches. I chose entertainment, students, costume, energy, and vectors.

Wellington arts culture, friends, mirrors, interactive

Enjoyment, locals, shape, romance

More Concepts

We had a critique of our concepts. We need to use nostalgia as a tool to entice people to come along and have a good time as well help the Embassy gain audience popularity. We could also use a headline that is a phrase from the 90s and the tagline could relate to the Embassy. The concepts using the phones and Tamagotchi worked the best because they do not limit what the event will be like. If we use just one character people will expect that character to be the main theme of the night.
